Derek led the leisurely walk on a 4.6 mile ramble from West Wood to Rhodes Minnis on a sunny, but chilly walking wednesday morning. In West Wood, José spotted early purple orchids and we heard a lot of birdsong. We were slightly delayed along the way when we came to a paddock of very friendly equines and stopped to admire them. We were lucky with the weather because just as we arrived at the car park, the heavens opened for the first downpour of the day. 🌨
