Chestfield, 18th March We enjoyed glorious sunshine for a leisurely walk around Chestfield for this week’s 3.6 mile ramble. The good weather encouraged 18 walkers to strike out to make the most of the blue skies.

Hythe Long Walk
Hythe, 18th March The long walkers took a route along the Royal Military Canal to Hythe, then on to Dymchurch Light Railway turning at Botolph’s Bridge. After a lunch stop in Hythe they returned along the seafront to Battery Point.
Molash & Alpacas
Molash, 11th March St Peter’s Church, Molash, was the starting point for the 6 mile leisurely walk via Shottenden and Perry Wood. The alpacas were enjoying the warm morning too!
Minnis Bay Walk
Minnis Bay, 11th March Maggie led the long walkers on a 10 mile route from Minnis Bay via St Nicholas at Wade on a morning of surprisingly good weather, after even more rain!
Chilham to Canterbury
Chilham, 4th March The leisurely walkers caught a bus from Canterbury to Chilham for a 5 mile linear walk back to Canterbury. After a chilly start the 11 rambers were able to enjoy good walking conditions and a sunny end to the walk by the Great Stour.
Lydden 10 Miler
Lydden, 4th March The very hilly 10 miler from Lydden via Alkham and Kearney Abbey was lovely once the mist cleared and you could appreciate the views! The walk headed across the North Downs to Denton and returned through Wooton and Ewell Minnis.
Littlebourne Walk & Quiz
Littlebourne, 25th February 24 walkers set off for a leisurely walk from Littlebourne, passing through Bekesbourne and Howletts Wild Animal Park before returning to Littlebourne Village Hall for the EKRC quiz afternoon.
Pegwell Bay Circuit
Pegwell Bay, 18th February A fairly brisk pace kept us warm as we walked the 6 mile circuit around Pegwell Bay. We were all well wrapped up for the windy east south easterly and thankful to stay dry for the entire walk.
Doddington to Lynstead
Doddington, 18th February The highlight of today’s 9.5 mile walk from Doddington to Lynstead has to be the magnificent show of snowdrops! It was a good turnout (19), no rain, hardly any mud (which made a nice change) and some really nice wooded sections.
Botany Bay Walk
Botany Bay, 11th February The leisurely walkers took an alternative route to the planned walk, (due to muddy ground on the original route), following a path from St Peter’s Botany Bay via Northdown Park and Whiteness Gap; 5.7 miles in total with some members taking their leave at points along the route before meeting up… Continue reading Botany Bay Walk
