If you like hills, this is a fabulous walk across the ridge of the Elham Valley, but first you have to climb up to the ridge! It’s a challenge but worth it for the views. We had an exciting encounter with a field of young bullocks before a drinks/tea bread stop at the pretty St Martin Church, Acrise. The route continued through a rape field and farmland with more stunning views along the valley, before returning to the pretty village square of Elham. A tiring but enjoyable leisurely 4 miles.
